GOLF TECHNOLOGY FAR EAST LTD is a Hong Kong based Product Development and Design company with more than 30 years experience in providing Consultancy Services to the golf industry worldwide, in particular to multinational golf and sporting goods companies.

The company specializes in providing technical assistance to companies, or individuals relating to Product Research, Design and Development, Sourcing and Manufacturing of Hi-tech, Superior Performing, Cosmetically Perfect golf clubs and balls, using state-of-the-art Aerospace Materials and Technology.

The company owns a number of innovative club designs and concepts utilizing very advanced composite materials, unique to the golf industry and all intellectual property is protected by International Concept Patents, Design Patents and Registered Trademarks, which the company licenses out to Original Equipment Manufacturers – OEM companies, or Original Design Manufacturers – ODM companies. It also negotiates License Agreements with several well known Major Golf Equipment Manufacturers..

Management’s Expertise and Design Skills provided by the company are backed by more than 25 years of ‘ hands on ‘ experience right on the factory floor and involving all the leading lost wax casting golf head manufacturers located throughout Taiwan, China and the Far East.

THE CONSULTANT

John Dalton has a wealth of experience in competitive golf as a low handicap golfer in Australia, including 10 years of inter-Club Pennant Golf competition with two of Australia’s leading provincial Golf & Country Clubs and was officially rated as a 2 handicap player during this particular period.

GOLF ADMINISTRATION

He has served as Committee Member at two well known Golf & Country Clubs in Australia and held the position as Captain at one of these Clubs. His knowledge of golf course construction is extensive, having served on several Greens Committees and as the result gained practical experience and was appointed Project Manager for the construction of 18 holes of grass greens at a prestigious Golf & Country Club near Melbourne, Australia.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

John Dalton became interested in golf manufacturing in the Far East in 1972 and began a lasting association with the first lost-wax golf head casting company in Taiwan . Taiwan has been regarded as the Mecca of Golf club manufacturing and at its peak was manufacturing and exporting more than 85% of all golf heads used around the world. He is presently working as Golf Consultant Engineer for some of the key Taiwan factories now located throughout Southern China. He has also gained a good working knowledge of Mandarin and Cantonese.

TRACK RECORD

* Designer and Developer of the concept of a “ Cavity Back Iron Head with a
Face Insert of Different Material to the rest of the Head “, which was first
made and produced in 1988, for which International Concept Patents were
applied for and granted in USA and Europe in December 1999.

* Owner of Concept & Design Patents and Registered Trademarks relating to
Golf Clubs and Putters and very advanced forms of Aerospace Composites.

* Owner of the Concept Patent for the well known “Ugly Duckling” Golf Putter,
made famous by the likes of well known PGA Golf Professionals, including
Tom Watson, Bernhard Langer, Andy Bean, Severiano “Seve” Ballesteros,
Wayne Grady and others.

* The first non-Chinese to become involved in golf club development, sourcing
and manufacturing in the Far East in 1972.

* Personally responsible for the setting up of new golf club tooling, sourcing and

manufacturing of golf heads and accessories in Taiwan and Korea for the Dunlop Slazenger International Group, which were exported to all major golf markets around the world.

* Appointed Manager, International Golf Supplies, for Dunlop Slazenger
International Group from 1983 to 1987.

* Appointed Consultant & Manager in the Far East in 1988 until 1989 for
Adidas Handels – AG, Germany, with responsibility for Product Design
Development, Sourcing & Production of an International Range Hi-tech
Golf Clubs and Superior Performing Golf Balls

* Appointed Consultant & Manager, Product Design & Development – GOLF,
for Wilson Sporting Goods Asia/Pacific in 1992 until 1993.

* First European golf Club Designer and Golf Consultant Engineer to introduce
Dunlop-Slazenger, Adidas, Wilson and other major equipment makers to the
Taiwan golf manufacturers, Nelson/Fu Sheng, Metals International, Dynamic,
Strong, Kings, [ later known as Fu Sheng, O-TA, Advance and Dynamic ].

* Designer & Developer of the new Multiple Lie Iron in 1995 for which
International Patents have been granted.

* Inventor in 1995 of the 5 dimension in golf club technology, namely the
“ ClubTONE TM“ Concept , which for the first time enables golfers to hear
himself execute a perfect, or not so perfect shot. This unique development
opens the way for golfers to use golf clubs that can be individually identified by
soft, distinctive, pleasing, musical tones, bringing the art of “ fine tuning “ a
golf swing to actual reality.

* Designer and Developer of the first “ Center Mass “ Iron Head.

* Co-inventor & Designer of the Perfect Golf Club concept, which for the first
time has been created for the mass market golfers who play for fun and
enjoyment and are not affiliated with golf’s governing bodies, such as the
U.S.G.A., R.& A. and the Japan Golf Association. A golf club with Perfect
Balance and an inherent resistance to twist, or MOI – Moment Of Inertia.

* A golf club with MOI properties and a perfect balance enables a golfer to
strike the ball more easy with a ‘ square ‘ face. This revolutionary golf club
concept simplifies the golf swing, enabling a raw beginner and the seasoned
player to swing the club easier and more effectively thus resulting in a more
solid hit, thereby achieving longer distances, specially in the case of the Driver.
Furthermore, this new club concept helps the golfer to deliver the ball more
accurately along the target line, simply because the club is perfectly balanced.

* John Dalton is also the developer of a revolutionary Aerospace Composite Fiber
Material, known as FRS – Fiber Resin Systems, which has been successfully
introduced into the manufacturing of Irons, Woods and Golf Shafts. Developed
initially for the NASA Space Program and used extensively in the construction
of the Space Shuttle, FRS is the most advanced form of Aerospace Carbon and
is unlike all other carbon based composites in that it is not black. When used in
golf clubs and shafts it has the unique ability of being processed in any color.

* Project Consultant & Manager for the setting up of state-of-the-art
manufacturing facilities in the Far East region to produce very Hi-tech, Superior
Performing, Cosmetically Perfect golf balls for some well known Multinational
golf companies.

* A Member of the world renowned Hong Kong Golf Club since 1979.
